Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is all about helping other football coaches, so it comes as no surprise that he's willing to help University of Washington coach Chris Peterson.

Carroll invited Peterson's Huskies to scrimmage the Seahawks to help Washington to prepare for their game against top-ranked Alabama in a national championship semifinal game.

"Our boys will be ready for them. You wanna bring them out here?" Carroll told 710 ESPN radio in Seattle on Monday. "Come on, bring 'em over here, Coach."

Carroll was responding to Peterson's request after the Huskies were selected to compete in the national championship playoff by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee.

"Fortunately, the Seahawks are here in town," Peterson jokingly told reporters. "Maybe they'll scrimmage us to get us ready for (Alabama)."

A full scrimmage between the Seahawks and Huskies would likely be a violation of one of the numerous and often bizarre NCAA rules, but it's likely that Carroll, a former coach at Southern California who guided the Trojans to two national championships, will find a way to help Peterson and the Huskies prepare for their game against the Crimson Tide.
