This is still a thread about college football right? Why would an opinion on a college football team offend you?

If you got a problem with my opinions then you can throw it back in my face if they don't win it all this year.

I mean everyone already did that last year when Tennessee lost to Oklahoma and Florida.

I'll be here to take the heat if I'm wrong.

I'm just very confident I'll be right. Last year I was being bold with my prediction. This year I don't think it's bold at all to say Tennessee wins the natty.

Reeves-Maybin, Derek Barnett, and Sutton will be the *future* NFL stars, Dobbs ain't going first round.

- No on Reeves-Maybin. He's too small to be a star and not a freak athlete like Darron Lee to make up for being undersized.

- Barnett with be good in the NFL but not a perennial pro bowl caliber player. I'd compare him to Charles Johnson on the Panthers.

- Cam Sutton has perennial pro bowl potential. He's special.

- Dobbs has the potential to the 1st overall pick. In terms of skill he's identical to Watson. Just a lil taller and faster. Poor WR play and a weak offensive line limited his play last year.

Tennessee was literally 3 plays away from being 11-1.

- stop Oklahoma on a 4th and goal in OT and you win

- stop Florida from converting 4th and 14 with 1 minute left and you win

- don't fumble in the redzone against Arkansas when you're about to score the to ahead TD and you win


And they did this even while suffering a ton of injuiries and with a team made up primarily of true freshmen and sophomores.

There's a reason Tennessee returns 38 of 44 players on their 2-deep. And only 8 of those guys are seniors in 2016.

It's actually kind of remarkable how close they were to being a playoff contender LAST SEASON even while fielding one of the youngest teams in the country.

What I'm saying isn't very controversial if you paid attention to what happened last year.

A team that had no players drafted in 2015 and 2016 pushed 2 of the 4 playoff teams last year (Oklahoma and Alabama) to the brink. Tennessee led in both games late in the 4th quarter.

That should let you know everything you need to know about what type of team Tennessee will be fielding in 2016.

All those stud sophomores that carried the team last year will be juniors this year.
