Why wouldn't it stick?
A former student at the certifying institution (e.g., former student-athlete) may participate in an organized practice session on an occasional basis, provided the institution does not publicize the participation of the former student at any time before the practice session.

Saban is a genius
No agument here. Great loophole. Him and harbaugh are elite at knowing and navigating the rules.

It could be banned if enough coaches complain, simple as that. Or they better define "ocassional"

Yep, not mad at any coach that finds loopholes in rules. Thats what separates the Saban/Meyer/Harbaughs from the Brian Kellys of the world. It's not their fault that the NCAA made the rules. Glad you bought up "occassional" as well because let's say the NCAA wanted to punish Alabama or another school for using former players at practice multiple times a year, I mean how they supposed to know how many times is "occassional" :manny:

What are you talking about?
Guess he means like Auburn-Alabama, Ohio State-Michigan, FLA/FSU/Miami, etc.

He's right, it's supposed to be Arkansas but ehhh, then the SEC tried to make it Florida and ehhh. They don't have a blood rival
