they can't "overturn" a block in the back....

still waiting to get the official answer on this, either the threw the flag or they didn't. They can't review it .
Its not an egregious penalty. Can't be reviewed. Players knee was down. Helmetless player on field during live action. All would have ended the game

the "flag" was picked up via refs talking it over, not the review. players knee down, but did not have firm control of the ball..same as if a fumble...helmetless player EVEN if flagged would NOT have resulted in calling back the touchdown. it would have been a dead ball foul and the TD would still have counted

You're wrong about the knee down, it was controlled he was lateraling the ball. It's like saying a qb can still throw the ball even if his knee is down.

They reviewed the block in the back, if it was picked up it should have been picked it up before the review.

They went back to review the block in the back, it's fairly evident

The 12th man on the field could be as you've said, I've read otherwise as well. Rule isn't exactly clear but regardless it wasn't flagged

Not sure why you laced your entire post with a bunch of .gifs

but yeah, I'm going by what the ref did

they reviewed the knee called it
went back to the replay
and then called back the flag and said "it was a block in the side"

the only way they would have called that is if they reviewed it, it's common sense not speculation. They had the flag down the entire replay - it was never picked up.

i want to see where Sisk crossed the goalline (he didnt)

game was poorly officiated all the way around
that's the funny part of all the faux outrage. people who didn't even watch the game. if the last play never happens, no one is crying about the refs except for Cane fans. but because its Miami..let the pitch forks rise and tears fall :ahh:

that was wasn't so evident, it's not a miami vs everyone else thing. The tv angle/camera angle wasn't good - the ref was standing right there and I assume he made the right call.

also no one talks about the the previous play when he scored but the ref blew the whistle early even though there was still forward momentum

i think both sides would agree the refs were pretty horrible

but Miami looked like some uncoached thugs - they were out there holding, grabbing, roughing players after plays were over. Just playing dirty and making the refs call the game...there were 3 blocks in the back on the last play, but if I was the coach I'd tell them to do the same thing...that was the only way for them to win and it worked.

Dude got stuffed on both plays. That second and 1 the refs gave him forward progess:martin: to stop the clock because of the first down. I heard multiple whistles when Sisk was met at the line of scrimmage.

he scored on that play, the refs prematurely blew the whistle, the pile was still moving. It was a first down and a score
Sirk got stuff at line and then they pushed forward...wish they had the replay for this, i can't find it anywhere.

### Palmetto (Fla.) High's Jack Allison, the player UM hopes will be its next great quarterback after Brad Kaaya, “still wants to go to Miami” and “likely will be there,” despite the coaching change, his father, Sean Allison, said Friday. One thing that could change that is if the new coach “wants a dual-threat quarterback; he’s not that,” his father said. “But he is pretty mobile for 6-6.”

as long as Allison, Quarterman and McCloud stick i think the class can be saved. Bruce doesnt make or break you, of course id like to have him but we need LB's and a QB for the next staff. Mullins strikes me as a program-first kid also
