Even if they let him walk they have very little flexibility next year

Signing singler was a bad move from a tax penalty perspective

Their is no point in letting him go they just may as well pay the tax..If the owner isn't willing to pay the tax he may as well trade KD and russy and try to be a trade mill team.

So where did this 40 mil penalty come from?

Once they match their payroll will be about $99M

Kanter is going to be making $15M plus the you have to account for the tax penalty which will be nearly $30M. That totals $45M.

You dont pay a dollar for dollar tax on luxury tax anymore.

If and when the Thunder match the offer sheet and come to terms with Cameron Payne on his rookie-scale contract, their payroll will be approximately $99 million, which is $29 million above the league's 2015-16 salary cap and nearly $15 million over the luxury tax threshold. The price for that kind of payroll is immense, as Oklahoma City would be on the hook for a luxury tax payment of about $28 million and a grand total price tag of approximately $127 million.

The mutha****in BX
another lackluster, uninspiring offseason again for the grizzlies.

chris wallace is the laziest GM in basketball. scared to make a bold move. he's more concerned about padding his resume with playoff appearances and making the 2011 grizzlies fans happy.

matt barnes as the major wing acquisition:scust:

we're running the same lineup we ran back in 2010, thinking shyt is gonna change. pathetic

the fans will complain about needing more shooting, then turn around and say tony allen needs to play 25 MPG. sometimes I hate this team.
