Your actually right The Spurs can package that #26 with Splitter and send it to a team like the Bucks, 76ers, or a team with a trade exception in the 8-10 mill range can't think of any right now...Splitter is a competent Center not a world changer....But if a team likes someone at 26 or just want's them on a longer term deal I can see them bringing him in.
I also heard rumors of the Spurs looking to move up in the draft but I'd beleive that when I see it can't imagine any assets they'd have to offer other than future picks unless Kyle Anderson and Patty Mills are valued by a team.
Actually a good few have them..and in reality it wont take one that big. For instance, if a team has ~5m cap space and a ~5m exception thatd work too and thats the type of team that is even more likely to hop on that deal since Splitter is better than anyone they could get with 5m on the market. Now, I dont know how many of those teams are out there off the top of my head..but thatd be the ideal partner for the Spurs..Celts could be down for the cause to get 26 if it means they could flip it and help them move up but thatd take a lot of work on short notice. All is quiet on the Eastern Front at the moment..but historically thats when a deal is on the horizon. I think Ainge already has 1-3 deals set on contingencies..and was probably set the night of the lotto. Thats what a bunch of people indicated to me around a month back but things change in that time period.
