Face it, Rondo is an ELITE PG. When fully healthy, there are maybe only 2 PGs I'd choose over him. But he's definitely a top 3 PG. I really don't know why you guys have a hard-on to knock Rondo. The fact that y'all have compared him to Brevin Knight and Troy Bell destroys your credibility.:mjlol: For whatever reason, y'all can't fathom that a player who is limited offensively is still among the best players in the league and certainly top 3 in his position, especially when fully healthy.
:skip:

Nobody's laughing at this scout now -

Eastern conference scout: "Three years ago, I was the only scout saying Rondo is overrated, and I was crucified for it. I was saying he was awful. I think he's a selfish player. He's only going to pass it to you if he thinks he can get an assist. I've seen him come out for pregame warmups with his shoes untied shooting lefty foul shots. For him to come out for a game with that attitude makes me question his work ethic. I've never liked his game.

"If you play with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen at close to their peak, they're going to raise everyone's game. Defensively, Rondo's a bit of a gambler, and I don't think his defense is all that. If I was starting a team and had my choice of any point guard, he would be 40th. I mean it. I'd take some backups before him."

He's hovering around that 8 to 10 million a year market I would think. There's plenty of teams that would enlist his services, I wouldn't be surprised if a team like Charlotte wanted him.
:ehh: Kemba/Lance didn't work, Kemba/Monta definitely won't work either, way too small of a backcourt imo. The Pacers would be the perfect fit for him, especially if Hibbert opts out and Pacers are able to draft Myles Turner or a big man. The Pacers need another scorer next to Paul George on the wing, Hill played much better this season and Hill & George would be able to hide Monta on defense. Monta would be the best passer on the team and is one of most the dangerous players out of the pick n roll. There really aren't other options out there really for Monta, I think he wants to get paid now and he won't want to come off the bench. Maybe the Knicks? Grizzles? Word was that he got a bit mad at how much Parsons got paid and he wants "Chandler Parsons" money. It was a shame because he looked really good his 1st year for the Mav's and the 1st half of thisseason until Rondo came through and ruined his money.

I see Monta somehow checking out ATL, Boston, and being an option for the Pistons if things go bad with Jackson.

I only see him in play for Pacers, NYK, Tor if his market becOmes low and he hits the 6-8 mill a year range. I do believe he will be in the 9-10 a year range.

I see my breh being on some mercenary stuff he may even sign a shirt 1 yr or 1 yr player option contract...Also consider some of the teams with cap space who may miss out on other key free agents like Boston.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
The Cleveland Cavaliers are reaching out to multiple teams looking to spend big in free agency and are offering Brendan Haywood, who has a $10 million non-guaranteed salary that vests on August 2. The Cavs are hoping to acquire wing and perimeter help for Haywood, who would provide cap room once he is waived. While Iman Shumpert is a restricted free agent, the Cavs are open to finding a potential starting guard opposite Kyrie Irving. Other names I’ve heard linked to Cleveland in a potential trade and DeRozan, Memphis forward Jeff Green and Boston guard Avery Bradley.

can't see Hibbert opting out. Pacers should try and trade him to Boston for 1 or 2 of their picks
