Not allowed to audible at Auburn
, know the play bad against a defense and run it, i mean throw it to them anyways
I've been doing so much work on Auburn the past 2 weeks, because I genuinely want to know what's happening.
So far, Jeremy has gone against the original play call once, against Louisville, right after the pick to open the game. The designed play was a corner route to Duke, which we called back to back against JSU which led to nothing. Jeremy called an audible which led to an inside slant to Duke which got us into the 5. We then ran a called zone read with Jeremy which we obviously scored on. the real tidbit is that Rhett and Gus were livid with an audible that Jeremy, the actual fukking QB, felt comfortable making. It seems that Gus and Rhett have been forcing the same play calling that is clearly not working over and over again, that Jeremy clearly disagrees with.
Gus is the most stubborn head coach I've ever seen in my life when it comes to play calling or offensive decisions, and that might be holding Jeremy back more than his shyt vision. because Jeremy has enough that you can work with, he has a cannon and on simple 1 read plays, he can at least hit those. Gus is forcing him to be something that he clearly isn't (at least right now), a pro style QB. and in all honesty, Rhett, our QB coach, might be the reason we here with Jeremy now. Dude has been visibly a better product than we've seen, you can't tell me Arkansas couldn't prepare a better defense last year than Jacksonville State. In that game, the nikka looked off coverage before, so how the fukk does he just forget how to do that shyt?!
Imma end this rant here, Gus needs to handle all play calling, Rhett needs to sit in an office, and Dameyune Craig needs to handle QBs. We'd be in a WAY better place right now.
