I felt Texas messed up not hiring him over Strong b/c he didn't have collegate HC experience. Well the thing he had over Strong was....he was a Texas HS coach, can recruit the state and players saw what he was able to help do at Clemson and would have bought in. Strong to the Longhorns still playing 90's football when the rest of the major schools in the state putting up amazing stats. But what i'm hearing is that they would have never hired him at Texas anyway because he's a Texas A&M alum and that's a big no no apparently between those two schools.
