so Auburn AD says teams dont wanna play AU because of Gus offense?

"Anybody in the Power 5 that wants to play Auburn, we're in," athletics director Jay Jacobs said. "We're a prospect for them."

"Gus' high-tempo offense, people are reluctant to play it," Jacobs said. "People are reluctant to come into the SEC and play. We'll do whatever is necessary. If it's a neutral site game, a home-and-home, whatever it may be. We want to play the best people we can for our student-athletes and for our fans."

They seem to not be able to get anybody but teams like Clemson, Kansas State, Cal, Louisville, etc. to schedule......talks with Florida State fizzled out.......some people want to blame him (the AD)........I don't know what the problem is. Would be nice to see more USCs, Ohio States, FSUs, Michigans, Texas' on the schedule. But when you already play Texas A&M, Bama, Mississippi schools, Georgia, LSU, Arkansas every year, it's not necessary to have too many big out of conference games every year.......

no they didn't. they only lost senquez golson and cody prewitt in the secondary. they actually will be better in the secondary this year cause they get tee shepard (CB) back from injury. he was set to be starter last year but missed the whole season cause of injury. they also signed a great juco CB in tony bridges. he might be a one and done guy. and everyone on that fearsome d-line is back.

ole miss will be better on defense this year. same d-line. better secondary.

tennessee was bad the last 2 years as well. 5-7 in 2013 and 7-6 in 2014. its not like we were winning 10 games but losing to florida. florida still had more talent than we did on the field. just look at how many dudes they put into the draft vs. tennessee the last couple of years.

this year should be different simply because we've been recruiting better than florida the last 2 years. plus we finally have a QB. like florida, we've also been unable to find a QB the last couple of years.

Dobbs is our guy now. he'll take us to the promised land.

MLBs are replaceable. not a critical position. also the only reason those DBs were all-americans is because of the pressure registered by the dominant ole miss d-line. just look at cody prewitt. he was an all-american safety and didn't even get drafted. nfl teams knew it was the d-line that made him look good not his own skills.

tee shepard (CB) was supposed to be a starter last year. he just got hurt. so him being back in the lineup this year is an UPGRADE. also tony bridges looks like a richard sherman clone. from the height to the dreadlocks and long arms. plus he was the top rated JUCO corner. he should be a stud. more than a worthy replacement for golson.
