Jacoby proved to better eventually :sas2:

He was ALWAYS better. Everybody except Coach Boom knew it. I got a funny feeling about our former starting QB being a bust before he stepped foot on campus. He was a top QB, but as SOON as Charlie Weis was named our OC, he went after Brissett HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD and signed em. Had Weis stayed as our OC, I have NO doubt Brissett woulda started in 2012 and going forward:mjcry:

Based of the sugarbowl and returning players, u think Bama more talented than tOSU?

Look. This is college football not the NFL. This focus on returning starters is why preseason predictions look so stupid by the end of the season. Folks seem to forget that new superstars come into the sport every year. Cam Newton in 2010 single handedly won the national title for Auburn. Last year, the 2 best RBs (fournette and chubb) and the 2 best pass rushers (barnett and garrett) in the SEC were true freshmen. We see 1st year starting QBs win national titles year after year (Jameis Winston and Cardale Jones).

Alabama has had the #1 recruiting class the last 3 years. Until proven otherwise, they are the most talented team in college football. Ohio state is right behind them with the #2, #3, and #7 recruiting class the last 3 years. LSU is 3rd with the #6, #2, and #5. Schools that recruit at this super elite level are for all intents and purposes about the same in talent. We're really just spllitting hairs.

I think yall are like Texas A&M when Johnny Football was a RFr this year then in 2016 yall will have the hype then not live up to the hype.. but that's jus what I see.

We're nothing like Texas A&M under Manziel. That team was really powered by 2 superstars (Manziel and Evans) and an incredible O-line. Their defense was garbage. And they were not recruiting at an elite level to really compete with the likes of alabama, auburn, and lsu. Johnny football created an impression of parity.

I'd say we're more similar to the Texas A&M team RIGHT NOW. I think we're both headed on the same trajectory. We've both recruited at about the same level. A&M plays in the tougher division so their road will be more difficult. But I think we're similar to them RIGHT NOW.

No doubt yall talented as hell. You guys lost more than us is what im saying. Your qb, Coop, Collins were all major players. We got damn near the whole team back

This is the problem with college football predictions. Just because you got your whole squad back and Bama got a bunch of new cats doesn't mean your squad is more talented. Remember the 2013 recruiting class powered ya'll to the natty last year. Almost all your key players are from that class. Ezekiel Elliot, Joey Bosa, JT Barrett, Darron Lee, Von Bell, Jalen Marshall, etc. But remember that was the #2 ranked class that year. Alabama was #1. And most of the cats from that class had to sit on the bench these past 2 years waiting on guys like Amari Cooper and Landon Collins to go to the NFL.

So while your young cats were beating out less talented players ahead of them on the depth chart in 2014 as true sophmores and then learning from their lumps through the season (see Va-Tech). Bama's young guys had to wait on Cooper and Yeldon to leave. I wouldn't be surprised if guys like WR Robert Foster explode this year that they finally have a chance.

This is the beauty of college football. Last years juggernaut means nothing THIS YEAR.
