The police surround the field something serious in the Swamp the last few minutes of the game with hella amounts of guard dogs. Nobody wants those problems.

Plus, real programs don't rush the field :salute:

I couldn't imagine seeing Bama fans rush the field following ANY kind of win tearing down goal post. Save that for them mid tier teams :heh:

:laff: We don't need to rush the field. We've already established our level of excellence and dominance in the SEC, we're used to winning big games at home. Any other school would've rushed the field after beating #1 Mississippi State last year, or beating Auburn after 6 years in 2008. LSU rushing the field after beating Ole Miss was random as fukk, Missouri after beating Arkansas was too, I know they clinched the east but still. Why the fukk did Vandy rush the field after beating Kentucky? :mjlol:

VT offense was various levels of ass tho Breh

OSU was top 13? Somewhere around that? Yall was at the very least expected to win by a TD
don't get me wrong i thought we would still win. im saying with the loss of Braxton was a huge blow. if he passed we would win by at least 2 TDs...

I can't shake this positive feeling about Clemson breh...I think they are good for 11 wins

Sep. 5 Wofford Terriers - W
Sep. 12 Appalachian State Mountaineers - W
Sep. 17 at Louisville Cardinals - tossup...maybe L
Oct. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish - W
Oct. 10 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - L
Oct. 17 Boston College Eagles (HC) - W
Oct. 24 at Miami (FL) Hurricanes - W
Oct. 31 at NC State Wolfpack - W
Nov. 7 Florida State Seminoles - tossup
Nov. 14 at Syracuse Orange - W
Nov. 21 Wake Forest Demon Deacons - W
Nov. 28 at South Carolina Gamecocks - W

9 wins, 1 Loss, 2 tossups

9-3 and 11-1 range. I don't think they lose to both FSU and Louisville...

Brief thoughts

8-4 is worst case scenario with losses to UL, ND, GT and FSU. 10-2 is where I think we'll be with losses to 2 of the teams in the previous sentence. I could understand a 9-3 season but 11-1 isn't far fetched. I just hate playing GT right after ND.

Long thoughts

It can be a growing pain type of year and we haven't had any offseason luck that helps ease my mind. We lost LB Kellen Jones to injury last year and he transferred to Wisky this spring...then we LB/DB hybrid Korrin Wiggins tore his ACL 12 days ago. A few days after that LB Korie Rogers said his heart wasn't in football anymore and quit the team. That was all after losing 2 five star senior LB's this past season. That is the only reason the GT game is a toss up. The talent is there but those LB's are key to slowing them down and while the talent is there...against the bees experience and prep time is key. On the DL we lost Beasley and Jarrett among others. DJ Reader was a key Sr returner but he said he got some personal issues going on and left the team temporarily [ they are treated his departure as an injury...leaving the door open for him to return.] Lawson is a beast so while we won't have Vic pass rushing...Lawson came in on many plays last year and the rush didn't miss a beat. Like the LB's the talent is there...the experience isn't. Now the Secondary is nasty...Mac Alexander is a shutdown corner who only got better after slipping in that FSU game {prior to that he shut Rashad Green down} and teams avoided his side the rest of the season. This group is the strength of the defense and will probably make the DL look better than they are early on.

Offense....In the skill positions...not too many teams are making the depth of talent Clemson has at WR. Running back is 5 deep [Gallman, Brooks, Dye, Davidson, Fuller (Choice is nice but still not 100% from his knee injury last season) ] and all reports are saying they are all improved from last year. TE...the talent is there...we have 4 that can start at any team...2 of them are beast blockers...the other 2 are great at catching. Watson is Watson...but behind him it's some concern. Kelly has the skills to be mobile and a strong arm....his accuracy is suspect right now though. And then it's the OL. NG and RT are good...the rest we are breaking in new talent or player with limited experience. Battle on OL declaring for the supplemental draft caught coaches off guard b/c he was the LG and key to Watson's blindspot so we have to rely on Mitch Hyatt...5 star FR from the jump. He's ready technique wise...but body wise...he's to small for my liking...but he's the one that kept Robert Nkemdiche in check as a HS FR during Robert's senior season. Playing UL's beast front 7 will be a tell tale sign on if they can handle ND's front the following game.

If Clemson beats UL...they would have confidence and nearly have 2 weeks off to prep for Notre Dame with 4 weeks of film to study. The staff is letting Watson call plays and change it up ala Peyton Manning as his discretion saying he's recognizing the Defense at a high level now.

The games we can't lose are Louisville and FSU...the Atlantic isn't as forgiving as the Coastal with them L's. One L on that side and the division title is usually already done for. A loss to ND is the only one I could stomach on the grand scheme

@malbaker86 Things aren't looking to good in the swamp. Starting LT hurt possibly for the season, and depth on the Oline as a whole was already shyt.

Hope Scarlett has fun :mjlol:

Only going to miss the season opener. They claim his knee concern was "pre exisiting" but why wait a week before the opener for this?Being that it's against New Mexico State he good.

OL depth as improved since fall but that could just be coach speech. Im more concerned by no #2 WR emerging

Every year Auburn is projected to do well, the Wall Street Journal or NY Times tries to put out a negative article on Auburn and bring down the school.:mjlol: No I'm not posting the article. We know people out there are scared though. :shaq:
