Ohio state had a loss last year :dahell:

youth and inexperience. that sophomore heavy lineup that carried them last year will be juniors this year with tons of experience. they seriously have no excuse. their toughest game is at home to a not soo great Michigan State team. IMO with one L they fall behind whoever comes outta the SEC and Pac 12. And possibly the Big 12 as well. Big 10 is on the same level as the ACC when it comes to conference futility.

:laff: Breh you talking like this is 2 years ago!

Things change quick in college football, and it's not healthy to hold on to old narratives

The SEC was EXPOSED last year homie.

Not only by OSU beating big bad Bama, But also the team your hyping up AUBURN got beat By Wisky ( A team the buckeyes beat 59-0)

Michigan State also beat a beloved team in Baylor that everybody thought should have been in the Playoff. The Big Ten is MUCH stronger than many want to give credit.

We can also talk about how the SEC was EXPOSED earlier in the season by the ACC:mjlol:

men lie. women lie. numbers don't.

ESPN put this graphic up last year. One year of flukey bowl results doesn't change 10 years of production. I believe last year was only the 2nd time in the last 10 years, the SEC didn't have the best record during bowl season. The last time was 2005. Yes shyt happens in cycles. It just so happens that once every 10 years the SEC performs poorly during the bowl season. Otherwise we pretty much dominate.

plus didn't the coaches poll just have 8 teams from the SEC in the top 25? :mjlol: SEC dominance is not even close to being over. like I said before. until black folks start leaving the south en-masse, the SEC will continue to dominate college football.

I agree that perspective is key.
But that works both ways.

The SEC got worked during Rivalry week and the Bowl games.

They should NOT get credit for playing in a conference that CLEARLY isn't as dominant as it once was :manny:

depends on how you define dominance. we no longer have those 2-3 super dominant teams that were simply way better than everyone else in the country. for example, in the late 2000s you had Saban's Alabama, Urban Meyer's Florida, and LSU that were completely dominating everyone they played. However, I would argue the SEC as a whole is much stronger today. You now have 12 quality programs in a 14 team conference. The only real joke programs are Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Tennessee is getting its shyt together. The entire SEC West look like top 25 teams. We had Texas A&M and Missouri join the conference and add to its strength.

5 years ago, Ole Miss and Miss St were jokes. In the East, everyone besides Florida and Georgia were a joke. There was no A&M and Mizzou. As a WHOLE, the SEC is much stronger today. It doesn't have those 1 or 2 dominant teams because talent is more spread out. Guys from Mississippi that woulda gone to Alabama back in the day are now going to Ole Miss or Miss St, and that is helping make the conference as a whole stronger even though the teams at the top are a little weaker.

top to bottom, no other conferences really comes close. you could see that during bowl season when the "weak" SEC East went 5-0. the teams at the top of the SEC might not neccesarily be much better than everyone else anymore. but the teams at the bottom of the SEC definitely are. look no further than the annilation a 6-6 Tennessee team put on a 7-5 Iowa.

this is not a good look for Alabama. they really needed Coker to take over the job. not lose out to fukkin true freshmen.

I might have to revisit all my alabama hype if this happens.

Just seeing Coker a little last year i was not impressed at all..wildly inaccurate awful mechanics

Also Barnett is legit just don't know if he's quite ready yet
