football is pretty unpredictable. just remember at this time last year, florida state was unbeatable.
i wouldn't be surprised if those yung bucks who didn't know any better last year and were playing with a chip on their shoulder get big headed from getting patted on the back all summer. plus i bet a ton of guys start focusing more on their NFL draft stock considering the hype they got last year.
its far more likely next years champ is someone like LSU. a super talented team that has obvious holes but no one gives a chance to.
its alot harder to win when everyone is picking you than when no one is picking you. urban meyer can't use the big bad sec as motivation anymore. if you remember, the first thing cardale jones and ezekiel elliot said after the sugar bowl was about taking down the big bad monster of the sec. urban obviously did a tremendous job playing the underdog, no one believes in us card. can't do that again this season.
you play in the Big 10. there's nothing impressive about going undefeated in a conference barely above the big east. its the same reason no one gave florida state respect last year eventhough they were undefeated in the weak acc.

lets just put it this way. i'd much rather play in the big 10 than sec. even though we're in the east, we still face bama every year in a cross-divisional game.
thats a tougher game than ohio state plays every year in the regular season.

Florida State lost a ton of players to the draft they weren't the same team at all Osu is returning almost everyone.
As far as Lsu they have a ton of talent but until they get competent qb play it won't matter

a national title is always partial luck. But those new recruits it brings only makes them better.
Given the weakness of Big 10 scheduling, I don't see how you can say they won't be right back in the playoff automatically.
