you know ABC/Disney is like :dahell:

":damn: PUT THIS STUFF BACK ON NETWORK TV, ON NEW YEARS DAY, or we'll turn you into ESWN - the 24 hour STAR WARS NETWORK :demonic:"
I'm close enough to it to know that discussions will be had and they won't be nice about it this time. Not saying it will change but..............

They knew it was bad when they negotiated. Espn knew what the deal was but this is a classic case of thinking you're more important than you ate and it bit them in the ass. Now they got to pay 20mm to stitch it up.
Actually they tried to get them to change it (along with other interested parties) but the CFP wouldn't budge.

the CFB is SO MUCH WORSE than any other system we've had.

i'm sorry but a committee of 12 randoms choosing who plays for a title isn't "letting it be settled on the field"

this pig-headed decision by the CFP costing everyone millions and fans a quality viewing is bad...

and EFF ESPN'S BROADCAST PERIOD

why can't NBC eat brehs :to:

CFP executive director Bill Hancock was grilled by reporters on decision to keep semis on NYE, but he didn't flinch and said he doesn't anticipate any changes. "I don't want you to read too much into the numbers. We're not going to. We are not making decisions based on the numbers and we're not making decisions based on one year."
