Nah. Alabama is much better. They'll stop the run. And as long as they keep Mayfield in the pocket, Oklahoma can't score. Mayfield can't throw from the pocket. Tennessee had him bottled up for 3 and a half quarters with a worse front 7 and secondary. We fell apart in the 4th when he scrambled around and we were too tired to chase him.

Remember we held this explosive Oklahoma offense to 3 points and about 90 yards passing until the 4th quarter. Bama's d-line is gonna dominate the game. They'll stop the run and force Mayfield to beat them from the pocket. Which he can't.

Oklahoma is the second beat team in the country though by a wide margin.

Tennessee had actually played 3 of the 4 teams in the playoffs this calendar year. We bodies Iowa 45-28 in January. We led Oklahoma 17-3 with 10 minutes left. We led Alabama 14-13 with 3 minutes left.

I'd say we're a good barometer of where these teams stack up. We owned Oklahoma for most of the game. While Alabama controlled us for most of the game. After matching up with both teams I'm confident Alabama is the better team.

We were lucky to be in the game with Alabama. While we shoulda beat Oklahoma. We had the better athletes that night. Bob Stoops just outcoached Butch Jones in the 2nd half.

Tennessee is not a barometer for anything. So was va tech a barometer last year?

Alabama is overrated for 3 years now. They're 1-1 against decent qbs this year and about to be 1-2 in a month
