Whose the last east team to win an sec title outside of Florida the 05 Dawgs

Missouri and South Carolina are Paulie Malignaggi status not enough firepower to fukk with SEC West schools. That Bama/Mizzou game last season was full of struggle Mizzou could only move the ball on broken plays Mizzou got destroyed in the trenches

SEC has played almost 25 conference championship games and I honestly can't recall more than 5 or 6 legit memorable games.

92,94,97,08,12 and maybe the Mizzou/Auburn shootout in 13

Would think that there would've been more classic matchups in conference title game. Every time LSU and Georgia played those games were duds and the years Arkansas played for conference title that shyt was forgettable.

I can't remember many memorable ACC title games the years were filled with BC vs Va Tech snoozers shyt the best game may have been FSU/GT last season.

Big 12 had a spark when it started but the North turned to shyt after KSU beat OU in 03.

Was there a more overrated team in recent sports history than the 03 Sooners?

Sorry for rambling im just kind of buzzing right now
Sec east is trash, period.

Yeah it's pretty pathetic at this point Florida and Tennessee being straight up :trash: and Georgia being Georgia makes that division severely overvalued. I don't get the SEC is so stacked talk I see 3 legit squad 3 midlevel schools that cherry pick soft conference schedules and your Pississippi schools and A&M types that get inflated off playing 4 tomato cans OOC and overrated LSU types.

Michael Crabtree one of my favorite college players ever. Dude was a monster at Texas Tech

I thought his pro career would've been so much better

Same with Braylon Edwards :snoop:

Post college career been a string of Ls. Turning into trash, getting punked out of Cleveland by LeBron, turning into a moist faggit :smh:

If the SEC title game didn't go by divisions it would've went something like this

2010: #1 Auburn vs #8 Arkansas
2011: #1 LSU vs #2 Alabama
2012: #2 Alabama vs #3 Georgia
2013: #2 Auburn vs #4 Alabama
2014: #1 Alabama vs #9 Ole Miss

Really good matchups for the title game :ehh:

Georgia & Missouri aren't fraudulent programs :patrice:

It would be interesting though if they set up the Conference title game as just the top 2 teams in the Conference. But the west would be playing the west all the time
Georgia is a second tier program and Missouri can obtain the badge of :camby:, but I guess in a conference that contains Vanderbilt, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Texas A&M, they're not the most fraudulent

West and East are two different monsters entirely

Georgia actually would be top 2 in ACC, Big 10, Big 12, and PAC tho (on average). nikkas usually succeed against anyone outside of this conference. That GT choke does make my point somewhat moot but obliterating the two best ACC defenses makes that an outlier.

Georgia top 2 my ass. Hell your team Auburn aint seeing top 2 in the B1G. While yall losing to Wisky, we beating them down 59-0. Think about what u post. Stop buying into that espn sec cumfest they put on each week during the season. This playoff system gonna expose the sec. Gone are the days the sec gets a automatic bid to the chip game.

Saban consulting with last years Ohio State OC " now Houston coach" Tom Herman. I know coaches do this all the time, no big deal. People don't realize how much of a guru Herman is. He was the qb coach as well, and you see how great of a situation he left us in. Houston got a hell of a coach. Pretty good read.

How do teams get better in college football?

They shore up their biggest weaknesses.

Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart recently sat down with 680 The Fanfor an in-depth interview. Among other things, Smart reflected on the Ohio State loss in the College Football Playoff.

One interesting takeaway was Smart talking about his defense not respecting Cardale Jones, the Buckeyes’ third-string quarterback. 247Sports had the transcriptfrom the interview, and here’s a portion of it.

“I’ve coached about 15 years – it was the most different situation we’ve ever had because of the quarterback situation,” Smart said. “So you’ve got one quarterback on tape (Braxton Miller), then you’ve got another quarterback on tape (J.T. Barrett), then you’ve got one game on the quarterback (Cardale Jones). And looking back, we have exit interviews with our players, and when you look in hindsight, I asked every kid, Landon Collins, Nick Perry, Jarrick Williams, the really smart seniors on our team, I said ‘Where did we go wrong? What did we do wrong?’

“All three of them said they did not respect the quarterback, and our job as the coaches was to make them respect the quarterback…”

As coaches, it’s your duty to make your team respect their opponents, and leaders on the football team have to relay and impress upon that to the younger players. That obviously didn’t happen.

However, perhaps the most interesting aspect of the interview was Smart talking about Alabama bringing in former Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman — now the head coach at Houston — for a consulting gig. Herman had already accepted the Houston coaching job before the College Football Playoff started.

“It makes you look at everything,” Smart said. “I’ll tell you the best thing we did, and I give Coach (Nick) Saban a lot credit, we went directly to (Herman). We flew him in. We said “Hey, look, we want to meet with you. You know us better than anybody. You spent four weeks getting ready for us. What’s our tendencies? What do we do wrong? What do you think?’ And he was honest with us, he just told us what he thought. It was very valuable for us.”

Alabama has continued to struggle defensively against spread-’em-out offenses like Ohio State and Auburn. There are a myriad of reasons why the struggles continue, but realizing your weaknesses and hearing them from a coach who studied your defense extensively certainly helps.
