RealClearPolitics - 2012 Election Maps - Electoral Map
Look at that map. I can't really see how Romney gets to 270 w/o some real upsets (its doable most certainly) but he'd have to take MI, OH, keep MO, take FL, and NC while Obama takes the remainder to get him (Romney) over 270.
MO didn't vote for Obama last time (and they usually are on the winners side most times) but I think they still vote for Romney, NC is up for grabs but I can see it being red this time though and FL is a tossup, I actually think Romney may have a better shot at MI than OH to turn it red which is odd (since its usually the opposite for republicans and democrats for those two states on a national level) but the bigot turnout in the rest of that state could hurt Obama. I see Obama holding CO and NV with AZ going red. IA and NH is either way don't know.
IDk I think it comes down to a few midwest states, FL, and NC that determine if Romney even has a shot to get to 270, while Obama just has to hold really. It'd be interesting in a few months because you can see the trends occuring already. The women vote will determine it, although just depends what types of women turnout to vote and in which battleground state. A lot of people's minds are already made up and the debates/ads will more
justify their opinions rather than help them
form one.
The women/independents will vote on the margin based on pocketbook/economic issues so it'll depend a lot on where they live too.
What you guys think? What paths to victory to 270 you see for either Obama or Romney?
