I'm not sure a sport should be in the Olympics if people don't treat it as the highest level.

That's why tennis doesn't have a lot of juice. People treat it like it's some little tour event. The football has still been decent but it'd be a lot better with all of the top players.

Someone will bring up 1980 but that was different because the other countries were using their best players so the upset was

I don't really watch the olympics but the way the US commentators treat Chinese competitors is hilarious. The best is that woman who announces gymnastics. She sounds straight up racist towards them.

Never understood this "not running up the score" thing and even thought we are a country of brave losers and not winners its not an idea recognised in britain.

if you can win 10-0 you win 10-0. The other team will be the ones getting flack for being so crap. When wigan got hit up 9-0 by spurs all I remember is people calling for automatic relegation and for the left back to retire asap, mainstream media im talking about.
