The synopsis was released, courtesy of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, which I've never heard of. Apparently, it's coming soon to the Seaport in Boston. I'ma have to catch a movie there when it's up and running.
That
Wednesday fame got them turning Jenna's character into the final girl, which she technically was in the last movie, but not really. She was like the co-final girl. It was really Sam.
I was talking to my friend about this last month. I was like, "I hope they don't try to make Jenna into Sidney now that she's popping. I know she's got next but even though Courtney Cox was a bigger star than Neve, cuz of Friends, she still played second fiddle in
Scream." I liked that franchise trademark being carried over to the rebootquel. And he was like
"I don't know. It's gonna happen. She's gonna put asses in the seats." I hadn't seen
Wednesday yet, but I knew how popular it was, so I was like, "you probably right."
Then I saw
Wednesday. She was so outstanding that I watched it twice. shyt, I even watched
American Carnage and
Studio 666 cuz of her. So now I'm conflicted. She really should be the star. But what about the rules?
Scream is all about the horror rules. Then again, it's also about breaking the rules which opens up Tara to be THE final girl.
When I watched
Sick, I was thinking, "what if
SCREAlVl had 3 Ghostfaces? There's always 2, except for
SCR3AM. I wanna see it." And it looks like that's what we gon get.
We got Sam doing Exposure Therapy for Tara. Bruce Wayne used that technique en route to becoming Batman.
It also supports the Sam as Ghostface theories.
