It's never just a simple "Well i dont really agree with you there, pal. :ld: ". shyt always seems to morph into da last resort :troll:'n.

You and da Thomas quartet up in hea completely deswagged da vibe we had poppin off. Congrats.

Can't wait to see what song yall go sang for us tomorra night. :beli:

No one deswagged anything. We simply didn't agree with you and yall have been calling us names all night, btw.

My specific issue was with the comment that student loans are necessary to obtain a college education. They are not. I don't see what's so unrealistic in developing a long-term savings plan for college.

respect, usa
:what: I was talking about Mitt not Ann. Spinning things huh?:upsetfavre:

And Ann, and Mitt never never struggled, if we are talking about financially.:mjpls:

So stfu. :umad:

Which teaches you a valuable lesson.

They have more money than most yet still have to deal with "real life" problems. :laff: The entire DNC theme, this thread and the issue of student loans is the :deadrose: of America.

Rewarding people for making mistakes?

Not holding people accountable for their personal choices?

People who are voluntarily entering financial slavery and crippling their futures is not struggle that should be rewarded or related too.

When Michelle Obama and Barack Obama speak about loan debt it's laughable. They didn't sweat. :laff: :mindblown:

Who sweats when you have a law degree from Harvard? :aicmon:

Being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis..nevermind.

Because not everybody is fukkin ballin like dat. ESPECIALLY nowadays when college funds are havin to be dipped into by families in order to help pay for other shyt da families might need in da present time. Not everybody out chea is gettin scholarships. You nikkas talkin like nobody in dis country is strugglin. And like everybody has such easy access to all sorts of financial advisors, trust funds n shyt. A lot of dese kids out here are like da first people in dey family to graduate high school and have a shot at goin to get dat degree.

Lotta mufukkas NEED dem loans to get dat education breh. Winning da lottery aint in da cards for most folk. Come back to reality. :rudy:

Son, I said a LONG-TERM savings goal...like more than 5 years, hell more than 10 years even.

You don't have to be balling in order to do that. As I said before there are plenty of exceptions but to act like everyone is so "poor" that they can't develop a budget or tighten up their spending habits to free up resources is insane and simply not the truth.

Uncertain grounds
people are apparently scared of not experiencing 'what everyone else does'....

if you can't afford it, or are shook of taking out loans at such a high amount, then pick a different school. go to a school that is offering you significant scholarships. go to a cc and get an associates then apply and get a scholarship. stay out of school, work to save money, and learn on your own then apply when it is financially feasible. the best thing about this country is the amount of options available.

sure the loans are predatory and ridiculous at times, and it may not be fair. its easy to get taken advantage of in this world, and people need to be more careful. sue the loan shark then, dont ask for handouts.

this is the type of mindset that got our country all fukked up in the first place. 'i dont have money, but i want this, let me use my credit card'. 'i cant afford this house or will be able to pay back the loan but let me cop that mansion anyway.' 'i cant afford this car but damn its fly, lemme get that.' 'im missing trillions of dollars from the federal reserve, fukk it, lets just print off more and pretend that it was the original trillions in the first place'.

No what's insane is summa you nikkas' difficulty to grasp da concept of individual circumstance. :what:

lol If it was so simple to just "save money", more people would do it and da student loan debt wouldn't be as ridiculous as it is.

Ol "dey just gotta do as i do" ass nikka. Yall a fukkin trip. ::heh:

I've said "there are exceptions" countless times and people can do it, but just don't. I would say there are more families that can cut back/budget and have extra money than there are ones that would have absolutely nothing left over after paying necessities.
