Would be a good thread/poll to see where TheColi at wit it. OBJ or Ocho in their prime and/or all time :ehh:
A single fantasy game? I'd probably favor Odell.

But he can't fuçk with 11K yards, 7 1K seasons (6 consecutive), 67 TDs, 4 All-Pros (3 AP1) and 6 Pro Bowls for a career.

I think Beckham had the edge in speed, explosiveness, and maybe his vertical, but 85 might’ve had the best footwork and body control I’ve seen in a receiver. Single game it’s a toss up but over a full season I’m taking ocho.

All time it’s Ocho. He had a better career.

But prime, it’s Odell all day. He had probably the best skillset I’ve ever seen at WR when he was healthy and playing with purpose.

Many corners respect him as an ultra elite talent too. When I AM ATHLETE went to different team’s camps a couple years ago and asked corners who the best WRs were…OBJ kept coming up.

You judge guys off their skill/production
Hands
Route running
Yac
Production
Degree of Difficulty etc ..
Chad played in a wayyy harder to league to succeed in. He has a vast edge because of that.

Odell Beckham has the best skillset youve ever seen at WR? Elaborate. Im not disagreeing, I just wanna see why you feel that way.

It's all subjective so there is no real way to prove anything but....

He came into the league with some of the best hands at the position, and despite his size was elite at contested catches because of his timing and body control. His only flaw in my opinion was he was a good route runner, not elite.

By his 3rd year in the league his route running was approaching AB levels. He had virtually no flaws as a WR by his 3rd year. Unfortunately Eli was a walking corpse at that point so we never got to see him with a good QB or even a bad QB who would just feed him constantly like DHop.

I like your breakdown. Can you give me a top 10 list of WR's?? If Odell was able to play 13 years, healthy, where do you think he wouldve ranked all time?

I can do a list later but if he was completely healthy for that long even with bad QBs he’s probably in the 15-16k yards range and top 5ish in receiving TDs.

He would probably be in the middle of that list somewhere around 5 to 8 with Fitzgerald, Harrison etc.

But unfortunately health and availability is just as important as any other skill and OBJ could never stay on the field. So he not anywhere near anyone’s top anything list.

This is it for Beckham I believe. Maybe some of it is rust but truth be told he hasn't looked like a good receiver for years now. And the little resurgence with the Rams had more to do with McVay and Stafford then him getting back to his previous status.
