Nah breh I was part owner of a connector company way back in the day. Business owner and all. That shyt failed like marriage in the hood. Taught me that basically it's INCREDIBLY difficult to startup a successful business. It's why every time one of these dudes spouts "don't get a degree, start your own business" I laugh cause I know how hard it is to make that shyt successful. Dude quit his job and printed some labels and thought he was the shyt.

isnt it like 1/;3 or in 1/2 businesses fail

and hell most business struggle to even turn a profit for many years

Speak for yourself when you say more than any of us have... Remember strong ones move silently.. There are some people on the coli that have done more than he has but just trod quietly..
I've definitely done more than him and made more than him but dude has a point. I don't like seeing a black man fail and it probably shouldn't be celebrated by other black men. Everyone is different though.

you need 2-3 years overhead. Most businesses fail to churn a profit til then.

It's a ton of reasons why businesses fail. Most people do not take the time to research what they need to do they have shytty ideas or just do something for the love and think other people will love it the same. Sometimes the business has no marketing or is in a shytty area.. etc etc

Just all around poor planning

I know a few successful business owners and most of their first ventures failed. It all depends on what you do with those lessons that you learned and what mistakes you can avoid making again. I wish the young dude luck.

Though the nikka did never tell me where I could actually buy his product :mjpls:

I had a failed business venture and it hurt me deeply I actually have two... the first one was bullshyt though. I opened up a studio it was generating some cash but we had an investor and he all of a sudden stopped being a silent partner LOL... also didn't help that he was a goon'd out OG that rocked with dudes like Alpo and shyt loolool... That one doesn't count though I was only 21-22.

my 2nd failed business venture was netting profit already (440k first year) but I fukked it up badly. My clients lost trust in me and stopped fukking with me. Not gonna get into what it was but I was 25 years old and it hurt me and affected my mental state for a good 2 years brehs... plus i was already going thru family problems and that was how I was gonna save us all... but I failed.

That's why as arrogant and stupid as this nikka is I'm down to clown him but not celebrate his complete and utter abysmal failure.

You gotta plan shyt all the way through.. yeah you need 2-3 years of overheard in the bank already.. but you need 10-20 years of plans.

That was the point of my comment. He may have been a total jackass, but at least he ventured out and tried his hand at something big. However, his livelihood might be going down the tubes and he may never recover from this (even though, I hope he does). This is nothing to laugh about, this is more than the internet, its real life.

Bill Gates saw his plan through but he did the smart thing and stole from his peers. Saves a lot of time doing all that thinking bullshyt. Better to have someone thats brilliant think of the idea and then someone with capital, capitalize on it. So many good ideas go to waste because some bozo is trying to grind from the bottom to the top with minimal financial backing.

The number one cause of a failed business is lack of capital IMO. The Nigerian didn't even get to that point. :wow:

It isn't an L if he trademarked the name mollywatr... if he had it first and it's not trademarked he might still be able to go to court.

The only thing is ... he probably didnt use it first him not having an E in his brand name is highly suspect.
