Anyone else notice it. I mean we all know they been throwing dudes into the fire early, which is kinda strange because with rookie salary rates reduced you`d think they`d let QB's sit and learn more.

But check it out, just look at the playoffs to see how much the youth movement is impacting the league,

49ers Colin Kaepernick 2nd year QB
Vikings Christian Ponder 2nd year QB
Bengals Andy Dalton 2nd year QB
Seahawks Russel Wilson Rookie
Colts Andrew Luck Rookie
Redskins RGIII Rookie

Could be a new superstar created this year if any of them teams win it all

So if you're drafting high this year, does that influence you on possibly taking a risk on a QB?

since this has become such a "high power" offense focused league, it makes sense to find your win-now QB, but at the same time, i also think this movement is causing too much churn and burn at the QB position. unbalanced offenses (ignoring the run game) and win now means a lot of QB's are only getting two years (max) before being replaced while also not being developed (some won't even make it as backups at this point).

i still believe in the sit 1-2 year philosophy, although there will always be the 1-3 who jump out to a fast start. like you said, with salaries reduced, the pressure to make the investment payoff right away has lessened, so you can sit QB, but at the same time the teams who need a QB, NEED a QB now so I don't think we'll really go back to the sit philosophy.

maybe mallet will be the last of the sitters after brady goes :manny: but i haven't seen him play so i have no clue if he's good

The sit and watch stuff doesnt matter anymore because QBs are playing in sophisticated offenses in High School.

These QB camps and 7 on 7 camps have changed everything. Its a reason why a lot of these top QBs are coming out of Texas. They are leading the nation in these new passing schemes and actually influencing offensive football in America.

It just doesnt matter anymore, a lot of these guys can come in and play right away.

This does have a big effect but on top of that, the NFL has mimicked college to some degree...

Player personnel for college teams has no agenda and will recruit any QB(black) that gives them the opportunity to win now, and the end result is having very athletic guys that can run and throw, wreaking havoc on defenses in the process....

When these kids hit the draft, they are so good that you can't pass them up...
You just can't. Tahj Boyd gon be another one that goes in the 3rd round that ends up starting... His first or second year...Just watch

Examples...RG3, Cam, R. Wilson, Colin Kap(mulatto/half breed)

The only black QB starting in the NFL that's over 25 is guess who? That within itself says a lot about the nikka

The nikka that put it this on the map for the modern NFL...(to a degree that is)...

Always thought that sit and learn for years crap was overrated. You groom a nikka for 3 years..live through the growing pains for 2-3 years then look for a new QB cuz you finally figured out son can't play? fukk all that.

Most a QB should sit is a year IMO. It's much easier nowadays to "hide" your QB.

nah, it did matter.

Many years ago it mattered. The college game was demonstrably different than the NFL game. Like beyond recognition.

The last decade its been different as NFL coaches borrow from college and HS programs start running really sophisticated offenses.

The game is different in the lower levels now, and Texas HS has spearheaded this change
