I'm assuming you don't have to take the cash advance if paying it back is a concern :manny:
It's basically an interest free loan for a year, yall hating on the NLFPA but I'm not seeing how this is a L

I don’t see what’s the problem either. I’d rather take it from the NFL and potentially have to pay it back interest free rather than a loan shark at an outrageous interest rate. All money isn’t free money regardless of who it’s coming from.

The problem will be trying to recoup the money from a player and the potential PR optics that will come along from doing so.

This is correct. Looking at the headlines and looking at emotional posters comments, I thought it would be far worse.

If you fall in the $350,000 category, NONE of that needs to be repaid. If you take the $150,000, it is just an advance that you will pay back next year. There is nothing wrong with that.

I also agree with the last part of your statement. The optics of it might not be great, but I'm not sure how many players are actually going to opt out. I think you'll see most of them not opt out and play the season, or not opt out and see what happens to their pay if there is no season.

How much nba offered the players who opted out? This is a option to keep guys afloat

It's funny how people always talk about the NFL having the "WOAT union", yet it's obvious why it's not as strong.

-Far more players.
-No other major football league they can go to, and make the money they will make in the NFL.
-Far shorter careers, so players are willing to give up more in order to get a deal dumb.

It sucks for the players, but it's obvious why the NFLPA is not as "strong" as other unions.
