Not anymore. The NFL stole Christmas from the NBA. They need to be worried about losing MLK day at this rate, and maybe even Presidents Day weekend (when the NBA All Star Game happens). If the NFL extends to 18 games, then you can kiss both those other days too, since the SB would be taking place on Presidents Day weekend.

Yea Super Bowl the day before President’s Day was always the dream scenario and is absolutely going to happen. Essentially makes the SB a national holiday lol :whew:

NBA had to see it coming and needed to plan accordingly.

NFL just preemptively filling the inevitable void for when current NBA stars power ages out with no replacement.

They’re getting the same rest a Sunday > Thursday gane would. :yeshrug:

Something happened between the leagues where NFL gave NBA the DX chop and decided gather as many holidays on some Thanos shyt.

It is what it is. As long as it’s not some throwaway teams then we winnin :win:

Has nothing to do with any beef with the NBA

They also scheduled games to go heads up with the college football playoffs which they had never done before against big college matchups

NFL is king in this country, they know they can do whatever they want and people will watch :manny:

Putting Lamar and Mahomes on Christmas Day against good teams to crush the NBA is some hoe ass shyt though. Literally risking players health for money.

Goodell don’t give a fukk about players health and if we’re being honest neither do football fans :mjlol:

They adding an 18th game as soon as they can and they will watch

Making teams play two high impact violent games with less than 3 days of rest :mjlit:

Including a team that just witnessed a catastrophic injury to one of its best players

Might as well bring back the Roman Colosseum days :blessed:

The best league in professional sports, they told me

The NFL cares about players safety thats why you can't push a qb to hard but you can play a game akin to puttidng your body in a simulated car accident on Saturday then play another one on Wednesday :troll:

At the end of the day its the players fault they could of arbitrated against this shyt in the CBA but football players are dumbest athletes out of the big 4 leagues so it is what it is at this point
Not true the nfl does this because the nflpa can’t get the scrubs to sit out. It has nothing to do with being dumb

That's foul dirty snake sh*t. I would give them a pass if Christmas fell on a Saturday, Sunday, or Monday but games on a Wednesday because its Christmas :hhh:
That's even doing the players dirty imo. But the league is god's gift to America and will get a pass. But I'll shut up tho. Somebody fire up another "NBA ratings are in the dumpster" thread for the brehs to go ham in:gladbron: :blessed:
Players association agreed to it

I’ve never seen anyone as excited at the speculated demise of a pro sports league like this guy is with the NBA.

The NBA isn’t in an imminent demise situation, but some of what’s happened is of their doing. It’s not just the players or Silver, the NBA media has a lot of blame too. The NBA tying its main coverage to ESPN has done them a lot more harm than good. I’m actually looking forward to NBA games being on NBC & Amazon next year. I’m sure they’ll do an infinitely better job covering the game than lame ass ESPN.
