Confident but he doesn't tick off those negative feelings and perceptions that bigoted fans, ownership, etc the way Sheduer does, he's kinda like Lamar Jackson in the sense that there are a lot of people who don't like him for reasons similar to Sheduer, sure Lamar is obviously a better quarterback so it overshadows some of that disdain but in terms of the negative perceptions surrounding their character, image, etc they're very much alike from the eyes of specific NFL fans.

Sheduer, unfortunately, hurt his draft stock the moment he opened his mouth in an arrogant and cocky manner wearing flashy clothes and jewelry, talking about “don't pick him unless you're willing to change the culture,” among other comments before he said all that shyt, his stock was great. Sheduer didn't understand the politics and dynamics of the NFL and NFL teams if he was a Black player who played another position with that type of demeanor he would've definitely gotten drafted in the first round.

Take football out of it for a sec. Imagine any kid fresh out of college going on his first career interviews for a job as a low level supervisor with a Fortune 50 company and saying the bolded to the potential employers.

What employer is going to take someone serious after that? This isn't someone 15 years into a career with accolades and industry respect. This is someone that has literally never worked a corporate job. The only jobs he's ever had he worked for his Dad, and one of his co-workers who won college employee of the year by excelling at working double shifts the entire time seems to be more grounded.

Why would you hire this person?

He wasn't evaluated as being worthy of a first round pick, it's as simple as that.

And there were zero negative perceptions about Lamar's character, he slid because of dumb scouts that couldn't see he was running a pro-style offense in Louisville. And he still went in the first round.

You need a new narrative, this shyt doesn't stand up to even the slightest bit of scrutiny.

Can’t really compare the two. Scouts are use to dealing with cocky/confident black athletes. What differentiates Shedeur is that he grew up rich.
That alone makes him unrelatable and misunderstood, even to your own people.

I feel like Prime should have anticipated this, and should have worked on it prior to the interview process.

Most kids with that type of upbringing will rub people the wrong way unless you know them personally.

People who are great ALWAYS get hated on. From Deion to Tom Brady. But Deion gets it the most. He's black and outspoken. Cacs still hate that he is like that. I'm still trying to figure out how is Deion involved. Like I never saw any quote where he said he won't let his son play here or there. It's crazy though. Arch Manning was fully involved with Eli telling San Diego don't draft him because he wont play for them. Cacs said nothing wrong with him looking out for his son.
