I have enjoyed the map when its working. And that seems to be about 50% of the games. Seems like half the time someone on my team freezes and leaves, or yesterday id pick up a gun and it either wouldnt appear or its this giant glitch block of jagged edges. So when i ADS the block takes up the whole screen and i cant see shyt.
They already decreased it substantially and said they will be removing it. Just say you liked hiding and shooting ppl in the back fam it's all good
I'm not crazy about it at the moment. First off, the loadout change is awful. There's an insane amount of money laying around so within a few minutes of dropping, your team probably has at least $30K. Since you have to wait almost ten minutes for that initial loadout drop, you know almost everyone you fight is gonna have a self.
The map itself looks great but I don't like all the hills or all the POIs being on the perimeter. Positioning always mattered but it's cranked up on Caldera. Unless you're at The Peak, there's always gonna be someone above you wherever you're fighting. It's a regular thing now to get killed and the kill cam shows a team overlooking you and whoever you were fighting and wiping everyone. You're always running up a hill somewhere, which slows down movement considerably. There's so many bushes and trees on the map that it's difficult to see where you're getting shot from. Everything blends in, especially for someone who's color blind, like myself.
A lot of the ground loot is dogshyt too. That MG42

The map is cool. The greenery takes getting used t as well as all the verticality. To go from tall ass building that you could get under and enter through so many ways to wide ass hills where your only hope is the rocks or a tree, you gotta plan your moves sooner.
I feel like in terms of gameplay, they did a lot of things that work against each other. They increase the cash like crazy, from ground loot to big game bounty's to cash drops and other supply drops but you can't buy a loadout until 2nd circle. Then when you have all this cash they do a long ass fire sale. Vehicles are shyt to drive aside from the plane. And if you're caught out away from an anti air gun and a plane swoops through it's kind of like a UAV for the team flying it. I'm seeing streamers drop 20 kills with the plane alone.
I feel like money has to get nerfed and a plane change. Maybe like you need a 2nd passenger in the plane to be able to mark enemies or something. Caldera guns are still getting tweaked so I don't have anything to say about them yet.

i think the map is fine. Vanguard Royale/Resurgence is fkin trash because you're forced to use "ww2" weapons
