this is all because of the war on drugs. More drug use goes on in low income areas, thus police go to those areas specifically to arrest people for selling/possessing drugs. It's fukking disgusting and has to stop. We just can't sustain this.

The vast majority of drug dealers and drug abusers are Crackkkas. And more drug use occur in the middle class and rural areas than in the "lower income" or urban areas CAC.

Sorry, I was using out-dated data from the 1990s. Drug use now is about equal between Urban areas and rural, though kids from rural areas are more likely to use drugs than kids from cities. But that wasn't the point I was trying to make, I think my point was that it's easier to find more people to arrest for drugs in an urban area where population is concentrated as opposed to a suburb or rural area where the population is more spread out. Also, in urban areas more people are selling on street corners and stuff like that making it easier for cops to arrest.

I'm curious if there is anything saying more white people use drugs as a percentage of anyone else.

I suspect this to be true, particularly when you take into account that millions of white americans who don't get busted for this stuff because they are behind a gated community.

Again, after goign to an affluent private highschool in Phoenix and being one of maybe 5 kids in my class that didn't use drugs it always made me feel this way. Then as i grew up and still knew far more white folks using drugs than anything else the idea was further cemented. Outside of my anecdotal experience i've no proof Just a strong speculation.

I don't think drug use is necessarily a skin color issue or that there are differences in those rates between skin color. I think it's more cultural and environmental factors, they attribute a lot of the increased drug use in rural areas due to the economy and farms being way less profitable than they were in the past.

yeah i made the same assumption then got to digging and was

my theory on drug use by skin color is simple. Education. From what i've gathered (i.e. no evidence, purely anecdotal) is that kids in inner cities have had years of "don't do drugs" shoved down their throats, while "white kids" in rich areas got a cursory education on the dangers of drugs. That and inner city kids have the...benefit... of seeing a homeless crackhead every day as a reminded to NOT TOUCH THAT SHYT. whereas rich white kids have their cousin who got strung out and then shipped off to a resort style recovery center where he became best friends with [insert Hollywood actor's name here] as their example of the situation.

I swear at least 8 kids in my class of 60 got "resorted" away after getting strung out on blow. Any inner city kid that get's strung out is pretty much done. Each of those 8 kids now is a "professional" in their field with a college degree and all. I've spent years of reflection trying to pin point the major differences in culture and such in "them" vs "us".
