I’ve read both of those mentioned above so I’ll sit out until something new pops up. Enjoy them Ty tho I will hopefully contribute to the discussion when it kicks off
Yesss! I feel the same. I’m disappointed in the lack of reading I’ve done the past couple of years and I want to get back into it. A book club would be a great idea. The lack of book reading I have been doing over the past few years is abysmal. I’m in circles where books are discussed often and I have just not been able to keep up.
Would anyone be interested in a forum book club? I know this has been attempted a number of times. Although, not sure how successful, I can facilitate and set schedules as well as moderate.
I was thinking about starting off with the Schomburg Reading List for Black Liberation.
Schomburg Center Black Liberation Reading List
Oh you’re more interested in non fiction pieces? Here is the list:
Also would like to re-read some classics not on the list. Soul On Ice, Native Son, etc.

Wouldn't this be more suited for the HIGHER LEARNING section? I read and own alot of those books but THE LOCKER ROOM is full of pawg threads everywhere so the books might get lost in the shuffle. Could use it as verification too cause i'ont never see yt folks in the black books section in the book store.
Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman.I’m interested in other posters interest. The Schomburg list was just to give posters some suggestions because it includes books from some of our greatest writers like Baldwin, Morris, Jefferson, etc. I’m open to all ideas w/ exception to technical/finance/business books. I work in finance and have read most of the major finance/business books and looking more for books that incite creativity, imagination, culture, beautiful language, etc. So if you have suggestions other than the list I provided, feel free to share.
