The lack of book reading I have been doing over the past few years is abysmal. I’m in circles where books are discussed often and I have just not been able to keep up.

Would anyone be interested in a forum book club? I know this has been attempted a number of times. Although, not sure how successful, I can facilitate and set schedules as well as moderate.

I was thinking about starting off with the Schomburg Reading List for Black Liberation.

I have been reading more but haven’t been retaining much. Me and the wife read different types of books and don’t really discuss what we read. I’d be interested

For anyone who doesn't currently read for whatever reason but wants to:

Pick a book on a topic that interests you and set your intent to read 10 pages a day no matter what.

That is really all it takes. You'll make the appropriate time in your life to fit in those 10 pages as it takes around 15 minutes on average to do. Once you've done this for around 21 consecutive days it will become more habitual and you'll find yourself craving the vibe it generates as its simultaneously relaxing an uplifting.

To take it one step further and retain what you read speak on the content/what it inspired in you to other people because that makes the knowledge personal and also differentiates you from the crowd who talk about the same mainstream topics.

Are they books we're gonna have to buy or will they be readily available?
