I figured that Coach's relationship with May would be the way they wrote him out of the show. Now Schmidt is done with Mascoto paving the way for the eventual reunion with Cece.

Yeah, when Jess was talking to him at the recording studio I got the sense they were hinting at that as well.

This episode really could have been a series finale, and I think I would have preferred that.

With them being engaged her, it looks like they will be together for good and the writers won't find a reason to break them up again. The callback to the douche jar and Schmidt's proposal was a nice touch.
Winston shined again this episode from his call to Cece with Jess to him talking to Coach to him being the one to retrieve the mug out of the trash

Just watched the last two episodes, which were pretty good. I wonder if Fox will try to milk this show forever like CBS with HIMYM.
