I admit I was harsh on his first episode back. I miss the hell out of Happy Endings. Well more like I miss Jane, Alex and Penny in that order.

It really does seem like they don't have enough funny to go around. Last episode Coach was a Brad clone and was shown up by Taye Diggs. This time he had a more prominent and meaningful interaction but Winston was no where to be found. Add to that the lesser involvement of Schmidt and I'm not feeling that. I have faith in them to make it work but I'm impatient and want to see that all inclusive chemistry.

I agree this episode was better than the last one, the chinese owner was funny and Nick/Jess had a nice balance. It looks like Schmidt might be moving back in which is quick.

Yeah, Winston suffered again this episode as he never really had a defined character to begin with.

I agree this episode was better than the last one, the chinese owner was funny and Nick/Jess had a nice balance. It looks like Schmidt might be moving back in which is quick.

They have to move them all back in. Maybe having Schmidt move out was a way for them to compartmentalize the writing to help them wrangle in having Coach back in the fold. When I watch Coach centric scenes, I could just as easily see Winston doing those scenes. They are also making Winston soft like he was in earlier seasons. I blame that fine Asian for taking another opportunity.

Coach's first one wasn't that good but last night's was much better. They have my confidence to make it work. I also thought it was doomed once Nick and Jess started dating but they've tempered that nicely.

The jig is hovering dangerously for New Girl. This shyt used to reduce me to open mouth laughter. I'm not even talking that far back. This past month has been painful though.

This dude Schmidt. Are they really going to have Coach smash out Cece and then have her link back up with Schmidt? I've never understood the sharing of females within the crew to this degree. Some serious How I Met Your Mother vibes. If Cece was in my crew and I get my chance, I don't care (that much) about where in line I end up.

Some great laughs from some truly weird situations. They need to pick it up.

They need to get Schmidt getting back to being the goat a$$hole like he was at the beginning of the season
- they need to bring back the landlord for some more akward moments.
- have Caroline , the first chick nick was in love with in the first season come back to try and break up him and Jess
- for coach they need to hire some of the writers from happy endings to make that nikka Damon Wayne's funny Again
