The Nets are finalizing a deal to send guard D. Schroder and one second-round pick to the G.S Warriors for De'Anthony Melton and three second picks

How is Dennis Schroeder gonna fix the warriors problems?
Schroder will help fix the issues they have with their non-existent shot creation in the backcourt (outside of Steph).
Not moving the needle, this probably moves them from the 10th seed to the 9th seed, Schroeder won’t be nearly as productive because he won’t have the same touches as he had with the nets.
I mean, giving up an injured Melton and some 2nd-round picks is hardly going to net you a superstar.

This is about the best player they could've got in return with that package.

He was good but I don't think he gets the chance to fully be a leader like he was on the Nets, hooping for Germany, etc.

He grew during that time, I'm not denying taking Vincent was an L tho

Do you think he would've still be on the roster right now? You know he would've had a few months of people blaming him and they would've shipped him out on some bullshyt :beli:
They never traded him before. :yeshrug:

People were stupid to ever blame Schroder. He was on a minimum contract with them a couple years ago.

I'm not gonna even bother reading the replies itt but if this trade is what I'm seeing, it's a 10/10 for GS. They got a guy that literally can't play out for a guy that's a reputed on-ball facilitator. Curry doesn't have legs to do that as much as he's been tasked. Not to mention this still gives them some pieces for a larger trade (although I do think the Jimmy trade is now virtually impossible)

Their currently 5th unless you think a free fall is coming?

GS hates actual big men for some reason.
Nah, they're just been horrible at recruiting and identifying good big men ever since Bogut.

They convinced themselves that using a #2 pick on James Wiseman would complete their squad, because they were desperate to find a 5 to round out their team, that they ended up losing sight of the bigger picture.

Look at all the big men they've acquired since 2016 -

JaVale McGee
Zaza Pachuila
Anderson Varejao
Damian Jones
DeMarcus Cousins
Willie Cauley-Stein
Alen Smailagic
James Wiseman.

No other team has had a worse group of big men over the last 10 years than GS.

We don’t want Jimmy bro, mans is cooked.. but this trade with it’s value basically being 2nd round picks for Dennis is huge in the sense it opens up for GS to get (Vuc) while keeping Kuminga because what will really unlock him is a stretch big on the floor

Also they can sign back Melton in the off season

Podz's has pretty much tanked his whole value, so trying to get something worthwhile in return is going to be difficult.

Funnily enough, they could've been proactive during the offseason and easily got someone like Cam Johnson in return for him. I bet the Nets laughed and hung up the phone when they tried offering him up now.

Funny I still think they can get cam.. the nets could’ve easily got more for Dennis.. just tells Me Mike Dun got better relationships with other GM’s than Bob clown Myers

I’m surprised they didn’t go after some of those bulls players. Lonzo, vuc would be great players on the warriors.

Is there a chance they still go for Zach? He's been hooping this season looking to get traded

Schroder by himself isn't enough if they're tryna win within the next 3 years.

Zach or Jimmy gotta be the two top names on the board, possibly Brandon Ingram (?) because they desperately need something to help in the paint

Eh… something like wigs, gp2, moody and santos or waters would work but I doubt they’d do it though.

idk what they're doing. He's vastly overrated by the organization but he's apparently not worth extending. He's a meh player to me.

He's averaging 15ppg on 44/31/58 shooting splits

has a 1.8:1.5 asst:turnover ratio
meh defense
no ballhandling

I'm over it. He's not a star, and cam john is clearly the better player. But Joe Lacob is a moron, so here we are
He's meh or the warriors are fukkin with his play to keep the price low?:patrice:
