I'm worried about both mr.Fuller and dr.Claude Anderson. Both brehs are in their 80s and this virus is taking no prisoners. :mjcry:

I havent even called into the show yet. I’d hate for Fuller to become the Malcolm or Fredrick Douglas of the future and my kids ask me “ why didn’t you speak to him?”:feedme:

Neely Fuller will be 91 this year on October 6.

I was going to see Dr. Claud Anderson last year out here in LA at this restaurant called The Proud Bird, but he had to cancel because he started to become ill.

:dwillhuh:

:mjtf: I just find out about this thread? :what:

and its 5 years old :snoop:

It better late than never.

I did not know there was one started back in 2015, because I started an official Neely Fuller thread back in 2018 and a mod merged them together.

It's harder now to search and find threads now.

This is really incredible content.

I know that some might push it bc of underhanded/hidden motivation. Some of the imagery can seem very problematic and difficult or uncomfortable. But some of the things that he says are just wow. I have always believed in the idea of Black ppl following a code - much the same way that other groups do. And what I really appreciate is that although he's speaking about sociology, politics etc etc, he always always makes sure to bring it back to the idea of ACTION and CONDUCT, rather than just philosophizing. The tendency for many ppl to just talk, discuss, theorize about racism or the sociological/psychological problems that our communities confront without agreeing upon voluntary/actionable planning is a big weakness.

The video about what every kid knows by 16 is absolutely fascinating and absolutely true. ESPECIALLY at around 1:10 when he starts talking about not crossing his grandfather and that dialogue.

Mr Fuller is 90 and still very coherent..He is truly inspiring:wow:....also up to date on society unlike a lot of his fellow elderly intellectuals...

RIP Ms. Welsing...Has he ever spoke in depth about her and her work...

I'm pretty sure that we had a coli poster call into the show last week.:wtb:

Somebody asked Mr. Fuller about "divine intervention" right before we got a coli thread about whether or not black folk need "divine intervention " to fix the last 400 years of our suffering.:patrice:

I really enjoyed a show where he discussed a black owned hotel/inn his family owned during segregation.

I hope he makes autobiography or oral history of his first 30 years being that he is from the Silent Generation

One time Mr. Fuller said something so profound I sat in the corner of my room for like 15 minutes in silence

Same, though I doubt it. Over the years, he has made it a principle of his to draw attention away from himself and onto his book/ code.

If it ever does happen, one of his students will probably have to do it. Personally, I'd love to hear his story from the perspective of a family member or a peer that grew up with him and could catalog the changes in his life as they occured
