I don't understand how that makes it ok for Fantano to use in a parody rap video where he is referencing choking and tying the mic cord around his neck.

KKK imagery has been around forever as well, would it be ok for Fantano to have burning crosses and cowards in white robes in his next parody rap video?

Stretch and a half breh. He wasn't referencing lynching at all, if you watch the vid he's clearly pacing around trying to find something to do with the mic. This witch hunt shyt gotta stop. IF he had burning crosses and white robes AND said some racist shyt maybe you'd have a point.

ok but his opinions are his opinions like everyone on here who has their own, you aint gotta agree with everybody on everything

me personally i don't keep up with alt right stuff, im not american, how ever the meme stuff and weird jokes with adhd type videos was my thing and their was nothing with racial tones to them when i watched

kneegas on the coli really getting offended by memes? LOLOLOL
It seems goofy, because it is, but that's the whole m.o of the alt-right. At its core its all about using memes, cartoonish internet culture, etc as a means to soften their actual message, which is just good old fashioned right-wing hate, racism, white supremacy, misogyny, etc. And its rise in society shows just how effective this strategy has been. One of the guys the article mentions Fantano had on his podcast managed to parlay this relatively innocuous alt right bs into his own TV show on Adult Swim. It was supposed to be just another of their weird, Tim and Eric-style push the boundaries of what is comedy and what is just random nonsense. After a few episodes, Adult Swim apparently realized all the little slick alt-right shyt and cancelled it.

Again these are examples of the broad strategy being employed by these "red pill" losers. Say its just a joke or you were in character, or its just a meme, dont take it so seriously, its free speech you guys. Meanwhile the underlying message of hate spreads to dummies who dont know any better. That is the plan, pun intended.

:ohhh: This is actually a good point. But you're gonna have to give receipts on when Fantano was doing some alt-right signalling because I have yet to see it. He seems pretty cut and dry liberal who reacted to the feminists like most people did. I have yet to see any white supremacy signalling, misogyny, or racism from him, or even a veiled form of it. He clowned XXX and Hopsin for the same reason any coli poster would, they're cornballs.

Racism is not a zero-sum game. You can like women and still be misogynist, you can like/listen to black music or hang around black people you 'like' just fine, but you can't help but be infected by white supremacy if you grew up in this country. The passive, pervasive nature of white supremacy doesn't require conscious effort from people who benefit from it.

Now If you're skeptical about him being an all out 'alt-right' neo nazi based off of what's presented in the article, cool, but "free promo for blacks" can't be the argument in his favor. He's not empowering or bettering anyone's life, he's making a buck talking about other people's art, period. The fact that deleted the content shows that on some level, he knew that it was offensive.

This.

Plus, majority of fans of the album will see his reviews. It ain't going to bring that much new fans

Lmfao yo who is she? Isn't she some editor o

Either is or was the editor in chief of Cacplex.

I think she also worked for Fader at some point as well. I'm sure she's a nice lady and all but I don't know about her dictating what is or isn't worthy of coverage when it comes to Hip Hop.

What put her on the coli radar was an article concerning Drake and normalizing ghostwriting in rap due to the 'stakes' being high for commercial success.
