I don't really watch much basketball till the playoffs.

However, I rather have basketball year round then have to suffer through baseball/hockey on espn/sports radio.

I would rather it start when football ended and finish right before football started.

Baseball and Hockey can do whatever they want idc

Almost agree with you but hockey playoffs is on some other shyt.

Started watching a few years back when the Kings made their run. I had never been so excited about watching a sport that wasn't basketball

The bigger problem is too many teams make the playoffs which makes the regular season meaningless

The few cotnenders you know before the season are making the playoffs no regular season game they plays is that big a deal in the other sports youve had teams whove won the title not clinch a playoff spot till the last day of the regualr season that never happens in the nba

Theyres no reason more thne half the league should make the playoffs i nany league espcially in a league like the nba which is so predictable and no 8 seed is gonna win a title

If only 4 teams per conference made it then the regualr seaosn would be somewhat meaningful right now its not

When you have teams openly admitting that not every game matters and that they take nights off, you have a problem. That to me sounds like a broken product. Regular season games shouldn't play like exhibitions like they do now.

Quality > Quantity

The regular season is too diluted now. If you shorten it and you cut the number of teams that make the playoffs, you automatically give the fans more of a reason to care because now the games mean more. Every game would be competitive because every game would matter. Not only that but teams would have more rest in between games so that means more time for practice and more time to rest... so that means both teams would be playing at a higher level.

QUALITY basketball.

MEANINGFUL basketball.

MORE ENTERTAINING basketball.

EVERY GAME would have a near playoff atmosphere.

What you have now is basically a glorified scrimmage game in front of a dead crowd because no one cares who wins and who loses. It's watered down.

The biggest problem is that there are too many teams and too many make the playoffs. If you had say...24 teams and 8-10 made the playoffs 82 games wouldn't seem so tedious. I have always been a proponent of moving the season. You could have the NBA season start the week after the SB and run through September. You get rid of the summer doldrums and nikkas would most certainly appreciate the dog days more if the only alternative was baseball. I give no fukks about ticket sales or any of the other issues that play a part in this all I care about is my personal entertainment.

Maybe shorten it by ten games or so but not to much. If anything they should find a way to speed up the playoffs. Playoff series shouldn't be lasting two weeks and shyt until you get to the Finals at least.

Luckily for you, a billion dollar corporation won't subject itself to the whims of fans who can't find shyt else to do come summertime (like play basketball)

Contrary to the urban myth, football /basketball ain't a package deal.
