This is trash. NFL fans here for their teams. They’re not always starstruck. That’s you pasting an NBA fan mentality to how NFL fans view sports.
I don’t really just have to root for star players I like seeing the up and coming rookies and teams. I also like seeing who has a breakout season like brunson Edwards fox. I think why football is liked more because one player can’t dominate the whole game

Too many nikkas the face of teams. Most nfl teams have white star qbs :mjpls:
Is this even still true? Count the white star QB's vs the black star QB's and its either even or black QB's come out on top.

The league in the last 3 years is enjoying its highest viewership in its history and the face of the NFL is a black QB

If it was the case, the NHL would easily be the most popular and most viewed sports league to watch, followed by the MLB.

But you are right, let’s be honest, race is one of the multiple reasons why the NFL is more popular than the NBA in America. Overseas, it’s much different. The NBA is more popular than the NFL internationally. The black NFL players wear gear and helmets while you see the faces and bodies of the black NBA players. :dame:

Straight black masculinity is visible, loved, respected and celebrated in the nba while it’s concealed, ignored, tolerated and at best begrudgingly respected/ appreciated in the NFL.

Individualistic team sport( a superstar player plays most of the game and makes a huge impact on the fortunes of his team )versus a Collective team sport ( The shield 🏉🪖) even if you have the best QB, WR, TE or RB it won’t change the fortunes of your teams overnight.

5 starting players vs 11 starting players
A small bench Vs the two platoon system in football/baseball
(Baseball and football have inherently and naturally much bigger rosters than basketball. the strict and exceptional requirements to play nba basketball make sure to exclude 99.9% of males on this earth. Remember there are only 450 players in the entire league. The NBA is the home of the tallest , most agile, most mobile, athletically gifted, most skilled hoopers in the world.)
basketball soccer more accessible overseas for kids to get into. Im just talking shyt about too many nikkas lol. Football more balanced and the playoffs a lot more unpredictable. In basketball we don’t see a team like Miami go all the way and win like the giants did

Across the globe?

There's no way you believe this

I can only speak for where I am geographically at the moment. The popularity of the NBA in the UK has declined significantly, i don't know anyone who watches it anymore.

While the NFL has become insanely popular here. Eastern Asia and South East Asia is what's propping up the NBA as a viable popular league globally

People in Nigeria barely know Hakeem or Giannis
soccer/futbol reigns supreme over there. Then boxing and athletics come after. Both sports are Far behind soccer though. North American sports(nba, nfl, mlb and nhl) are generally irrevelant in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.

Whatever works for your narrative, breh
I’m telling you the NBA has been in decline since 2019

The NBA has struggled post pandemic but it’s less to do with the Pandemic and just were are on the downside of the prime Warriors, Lebron, KD, Westbrook era that had all the casual fans attention

British folks have rugby already why they would watch a b*stardized/weird/more complex version of it (NFL)

Soccer/football is the main sport over there in the UK, then it’s a tie between rugby/cricket at second. Then it’s boxing/Formula 1/golf, and then the rest of the sports. Most British people don’t care about North American sports like that. Those who follow nba/nhl/nfl/mlb are just a small niche. People in the UK sleep during live NBA/NFL games. It’s hard to follow sports played in different zone times overseas.

Out of the 3 major sports, basketball is probably the hardest to casually follow.

Football is slow paced and has multiple replays after each play so you can fully grasp what happened and why.

Baseball, even more simple to consume. They hit it and the other team didn't catch it? Good. They swung and missed? Bad.

Basketball, though....the score can be 15-17, you get up, go outside to fart, come back inside and the score is suddenly 35-19. You might only get one replay of the flashiest play in that run and you still might not know exactly what happened. You gotta be locked in the entire time dang near to fully grasp a basketball game. Plus free throws are boring as shyt to watch unless they're clutch.

Only reason I can tolerate it is because I know the pure amount of talent it takes to perform in the NBA. It's more than all the other major leagues.
Not buying this. Whether you like the NBA or not, sports like basketball, soccer, tennis, etc. - if you've never watched these sports in your life - you get the gist of what's going on upon initial viewing. Try explaining a NFL-American football game to someone who doesn't know the sport is damn near impossible the first go around. I've tried to explain the game numerous times to a foreigner and it takes at least 15 minutes or more just to explain the downs and getting 10 yards to get a new set of downs. And that's just for starters. I've met females till this very day that don't get the game at all. But it's a religion here and whether you know the game or not, Superbowl parties are king and you can still put on a jersey, get wasted, eat until your heart is content one day a week. It works and is a massive success.
