no wonder Jay started fukking with 50 because Irv was signing Nas to Murder Inc

:pachaha: :ohhh:
I thought this was already common knowledge. It’s a good docu but I must be old becaue I was already aware of this.

Ja first album was nice. I like his music more before he started diversifying his style.

Irv is corny but give him his flowers becaue he did have an eye and ear for talent. Jay would’ve still got on but Irv helped him out big times in the beginning. The biggest song commercially from reasonable doubt is a Irv record and the same can be said about volume 2. Same thing can be said about DMx. Irv helped him with some of his biggest records. No way X hit those number 1 record streaks without Irvs help and push.

Naw its a good watch so far

From IRV came DMX, Ja, the mentorship he gave Hov & ROC, connections with Supreme Team, beefing with 50, FBI indictments etc

This is a better story than No Limit
Yeah but it's like an Irv doc and then they had two artists that did anything

I can believe Irv when he was talking about how Ashanti was looking in sweat pants :takedat:

Ashanti in the “Baby” video :ohlawd:

:dead: at Irv impersonating her voice or just a female voice in general when she ain’t wanna sing the way he wanted
“I hate this” 😡

Nas: Irv we can get killed :hubie:

Irv: ……..Our names will live on forever :blessed:

Good doc so far. I forgot how short that J Lo run was and Ashanti probably never becomes a star if Irv doesn’t make that comment to Elle about J Lo and Puff. Irv would have just stuck with making songs with J Lo

Mesmerise really was the straw that broke the camels back. It was a hit but with all the 50 disses, it just further compounded the stereotype that Ja only made soft music. The song didn’t even have a slight hip hop feel that most of the previous hits had. Was almost like a satire song made by someone mocking Ja it was so pop.

They could have done Charlie justice. Irv fumbled the bag with Charlie. Her and ashanti could have made an album together featuring ja. Charlie had the streets and the soft side…. And had a story to tell with biggie…. Vita black child and tah though. :francis:

I thought Vita was next when she was featured on Mobb Deep's "Burn", sh*t was everywhere! i really think she would've made a name for herself with the inc's push. Gotti was def a GIFT AND A CURSE to the people around him. Like on one hand he helped push his people into STARDOM and other the hand, this mf fumbled MULTIPLE BAGS! there was no in between. But like someone said, him f*ckin up his relationship with J.Lo is what got Ashanti to blow up, it's like damn if he did, damn if he didn't. Ashanti don't get the attention, then that means Vita gets the push which means Cadillac Tah and Black Child get a look, i mean there's different angles to this and in the end IRV don't lose no matter what :heh:

Irv set up this paradox, multi scenario universe where anyone he pushes would've blown regardless, that doesn't get talked enough about, this mf was born to NEVER LOSE and the only mf that could f*ck that up was himself. you just gotta laugh at that and throw your hands up like "Damn breh, he's the def of being in your own way" :jbhmm::gladbron:
