The most underrated Marvel villain--Mr. Sinister appreciation thread

-Can't die. Has clones on deck at all times.

-Created Madelyne Pryor, so in turn created Cable. And by creating Cable prevented Apocalypse from ruling Earth.

-Saved Xavier's life by taking over his body after Bishop shot him.

-Built an entire subterranean civilization that consisted of himself.

-Sonned Cyclops his whole life dating back to his childhood.

-Blew up the Xavier Institute.

-Always stays a step ahead.

I'm surprised he hasn't been used in a movie I wouldn't doubt he's next after Apocalypse.

The X-Men's rogues gallery is stacked, and came after Magneto and Apocalypse in the pecking order of X-villains.

I always felt he was a cool ass character with crazy potential. He's kinda like Doom on a lower scale in that he always has some ulterior motive and even when he loses he still wins somehow. He is also an omega-level

It was nice to see him Hickman give him some burn in Secret Wars. He was about to murk Captain Britain. Lol@him being a baron of a domain that's nothing but him.

They should put him on the big screen one day.

He's too deep for them to portray him fully in the movies with all the characters sharing the screen. 1st class was the perfect chance to cast him as the villain in the background because he fukked with the nazis experimenting on kids and they couldve showed his wife in the flashbacks.

Then made him the main villain in part 2 setting up for apocalypse

Meh I never liked him that much to be honest.

He has a decent powerset I guess but I never really got a feel for his personality/motives. I mean you know Magneto wants the betterment of mutantkind at any cost, you know Apocalypse is a hardcore believer in survival of the fittest, Doom believes he has a moral imperative to rule the world because it'll be better off under him, etc.


What exactly is Sinister's motivation? Seems like he just likes to sit around kidnapping people and performing unethical experiments on them.


But then again I haven't read all that many comics with him and my opinion is mostly based on animated versions, so it's possible he gets better writing in the comics.
