I bet you he's been wrestling since he was 4 :sas1:

The youngest Olympic wrestling champ is 17 years old.......

:usure:
5 years and change to become an Olympic champion.

I think jiujitsu allows more flexibility and wrestling has key moves you have to master because if you treat wrestling like jits you will lose but you can treat hits like wrestling because of the concepts of the point systen

Hamza yerlikaya

His father Mustafa Yerlikaya is also a wrestler but was no longer active by the time Hamza was born. He started wrestling at age of 11 encouraged by his father and inspired by his elder brother Muttalip Yerlikaya who is also a wrestler with international success.

His father is a wrestler, his brother is a wrestler but he started at 11 :stopitslime: that nikka been wrestling since he was in pampers.

And let's just say he did start at 11 lets talk about your math skills friend :sas1:

How does this negate my comment about wrestlers getting brown belts in two years :sas1:

face it friend USA Wrestling>>>>bjj

The hell?

Cormier got $160,000 for his last fight. This fight with Jones was the most billed UFC fight since Silva/Chael

He and Jones got a $50K bonus for having the "fight of the night", so ur telling me he only made $40,000?

I'm not trying to take away from Jon getting his black belt that's a great accomplishment, but belt level doesn't matter in MMA anymore. Everybody trains in BJJ, so unless you're a Fabricio Werdum or Gilbert Durinho level black belt your ranking is insignificant.

Benson Henderson (Who's my second favorite fighter) got his black belt and then proceeded to get tapped out by Anthony Pettis, who was a blue belt at the time, a few months later.

Its all relative on how you implement the grappling. Yea someone like Bendo, Roy Nelson, JDS have black belts but they never use it because its never in their gameplan. But with Jones, he already has shown a affliction for offensive sub grappling. He already has the TD/wrestling. If he can fine tune his game to include finesse transitions, sweeps, etc while not leaving himself expose passing guard that almost got his arm snatched off but Vitor, he would be unstoppable
