The problem lays with the Dems in large part. The "don't vote" crowd had little leverage in 2020 given the anger regarding BLM, COVID, and Trump's actions. People had a reason, clear and tangible, to come out.
Then Biden and Harris figured they could coast on "Trump is bad" and not doing any huge policies to excite the Black base while dropping the promised Lift Every Voice plan and police accountability hoping Juneteenth and Kentanji would pull it through. The Obama scolding alienated a bunch of folks too, let's be honest.
They were wrong. Trump's ideas are shyt and he will renege on most but at least he puts it out there for the base to get them salivating.
Trump is a threat...but having called wolf in elections since GWB and then ignoring Black folks for 3 years has finally come back to haunt them. And yes, I voted for KH.
