We are talking about fundamentally sound and no it's not Walter. And Walter is my favorite RB of all time.Walter Payton and there is not even a close second.

Coli sports threads never fail to disappoint. A guy professes that Walter Payton is his favorite NFL running back of all time, yet the guy doesn't realize that Walter Payton literally did everything exceptionally fundamentally well on the football field. He not only finished as the all time leading rusher in NFL history, but he also finished as the all time receiving at running back. He was the best blocking back in the league and he threw 8 touchdowns with zero interceptions. He returned punts and kickoffs and he was the Bears backup punter. There has never been a running back or a player at any other position in the NFL history that was more fundamentally sound than Walter Payton. That dude didn't miss a game from 1976 through 1987. Think about that. He was a running back in a era where the running back was the featured player. He didn't miss a game for 12 seasons. We are talking about fundamentally sound and no it's not Walter. And Walter is my favorite RB of all time.
I think someone like Larry Johnson was more of a flash in the pan than Gurley.Crazy bc Todd Gurley is only 30 on his bday TODAY
That man was the ultimate flash in the pan
Or Chris JohnsonMarshall and LT always seemed like the most complete. Even if I was more drawn towards the power back running style.

Who had a better career priest Holmes or Todd Gurley?Or Chris Johnson
Thurman Thomas was one that could do everything tooMarshall and LT always seemed like the most complete. Even if I was more drawn towards the power back running style.
