In regards to Africa's hidden billionaires, I don't blame them for keeping it quiet. They'd do themselves well by keeping it quiet lest Africa becomes the next continent that needs 'liberating' by the west.

I agree, if I had that kind of money, I'd stay quiet too. But I would reinvest heavy into infrastructure, healthcare, entrepreneurs, etc. on the low too

Exactly. . Keeping your wealth quiet and reinvesting is the best thing to do. Africa will experience a lot of growth. I actually want to get out of the states soon. Not necessarily to move to Africa, but I see the states on the decline and some of these foreign places are about to improve drastically. I actually have a friend who is visiting Kenya who told me he was thinking about setting up out there.

It's our job as men to teach and show the next upcoming generations of young black boys their role in society and as family men. whether it's ur own son or mentoring the ones without a father. That's always been the job of men.I'm 27 and every chance I get to talk with a youngster I try to guide them down the right path with good advice. Even if its not my kid. If we don't inspire our own young children who else will.
What good advice you give, get a better education, go for higher paying jobs, save money and plan for the future? Do stress education will be the savior of the black race in this day and age?

I'd definitely would want to do a lot of business in Africa in the near future. I love to hear the good news of the continent on the rise. I would love to have a vacation home out there. The Africa thread on here really shined some light on how beautiful the continent is.

are they good people... or corrupt people who exploited other Africans.

I have no idea, it's probably impossible to tell. According to that article, a lot of it has to do with mining and we know how that is. Let's just hope that not all of them are corrupt

That's exactly what I tell them. I also tell them to be careful of the type of people they hang around or who they make friends because the choices they make now will affect their future.

these children are getting felonies at a young age and its affecting their employment opportunities in the future.

I respect that because i am so sick of soap box community leaders who give a pass to every stupid mistake these kids can easily avoid. We have to work 5 times as hard to make it in this world and with a record you can forget it. education and financial responsibility are the only way to make a real change. To start a black business you need smart blacks to run them and work in them also, nobody should get a free ride.

These leaders don't believe in accountability.

You can't criticize inappropriate behavior in the black community without being called an uncle Tom...etc,

Those leaders will spend all day talking about what the white man s do to us but they will never talk about the reckless irresponsible losers destroying the black community. if more attention was put on what we can do for ourselves and holding the irresponsible amongst us accountable we will be doing a lot much better.
