I just looked it over. Yeah, it would be a good option. A 4080 is still a very good gpu. You might not get to run all games at ultra in 4K 120fps, but you would be able to run most of them at those settings (though you might have to turn down a setting a notch or two in some games).

I wont go all out 4k crazy 1440P 2K is the spot. You get higher frames and crazy fidelity especially if you have a sick monitor

it's because all FPS games are basically the same any way. Its a game mechanic that somehow became its own dedicated genre.
Like how tell tale made entire games out of quick time events.
I prefer those type of mechanics to be use contextually during a game, not be the whole basis for one.
