Fukk your corny debates
lol@you confirming my generalization about libertarians in my first post.I don't know why I was drawn to libertarianism, but It happened very quickly and at a young age. by the time I was 20, I was a full-on libertarian.
I have always valued independence. I don't like relying on other people. I have never wanted to be part of a group. I prefer being by myself. It doesn't bother me like it bother's some people.
I was "different" in Highschool. I always tried to be ahead of the game when it came to fashion, music, and culture. I remember I was wearing Alpha-numeric, Tripple 5 soul, and stuff like Ecko, WAY before everyone else was. I prided myself in being able to call trends and to be somebody who knew how the crowd was moving but was never a part of the crowd.
I was hip to LRG in like 2000. I always knew about the biggest rap star before he was famous. moreover...I don't like when people wear the same cloths as me. I don't like when I hear people listening to the same music as me. The minute I see more than 3 people with the same type of outfit or listening to the same tracks, I have always thought to myself, "fukk, this is played out". I guess i was a hipster, before there were hipsters. I definitely have always felt comfortable in, what are today's, hipster spots. It wasn't for hipsters when I was young, it was just for "different' people I guess.
I can't really describe it. I really do not like being part of a group. and when I think about it, all my friends have the same type of mindset. My wife has the same type of mindset. My sister, My father and my mother have the same mindset. We are all drawn to the same people. We don't have any control over it, and I don't think we chose our mindsets either. It's forced into us somehow.
Libertarians are mostly just socially-rejected loser fakkits who hate humanity and want to feel superior to them like you. They probably have mostly above average IQs--which is the only above par attribute they possess as human beings--and way below average EQs.
Gundam, if you are trying to define yourself by your clothes and the music you listen to, and doing the opposite of whatever the masses are doing just to be "different," you're not really being an individual.
You're trying to craft an identity by being reflexively anti-normative. That is not true uniqueness and individuality. That is still being a sheep, just grazing in a different pasture. Your personal stylings are only that because they are born out of a disgruntled reaction to what you see masses doing. That's not really being in control of yourself.
If you like a certain style of clothes or music, you should wear it or listen to it because you're comfortable with it, not just to be different. And if you are truly comfortable dressing a certain way or listening to certain music, why would you stop just because you see it catching on with the masses? If that's what you like, you should ride with it regardless of who else is on it or not on it.
When you're truly comfortable with yourself, you just do you, period. And you don't try to define yourself through the external, superficial and cosmetic.
