The thing is, a PPV every 2 months was perfect. There are literally too many MMA cards and MMA doesn’t have the participation or level of depth that something like boxing has, so you are eventually going to get a watered down product.

There is only so many times even the most casual of casuals is going to buy into Joe Rogan claiming the latest new champ in X division is the “greatest of all time”.

They desperately need to build new stars. You look at what’s on the come up with boxing’a young crop and you can see the shift happening.
