granted the piece of shyt that is the Matrix Revolutions drags people's opinion of it down but the Matrix Reloaded did everything (outside of that orgy scene) right. to me it took everything i liked about the Matrix and dialed it up a notch. more action, better special effects, more Matrix fights, and one hell of a cliffhanger ending.

the Architect breakdown was dope as fukk. it was like a wrecking ball came through and hit the whole series. it just crushed everything you knew and expected from the series.

Neo went through that light door into the light and i thought i was gonna get all the answers and he was basically like fukk all yall.

i remember when it got to the end i was feeling like you can't end the movie this way and leave us hanging for months. give me more than this ending to hang on to till November. then November came and i was feeling like

Wasn't better than the original, but definitely better than Revolutions.

I remember back when that came out everybody was online arguing back and forth about what the Architect's speech meant. :heh:

I loved the second movie. I also didn't hate revolutions as much as everyone else seemed to.
the fight in the great hall to the transition to the freeway scene is one of my favorite sequences in any action movie in a long time. i hate the Matrix Revolutions outside of the dope DBZ like final battle.

i still feel like the Matrix Reloaded is the best movie in the series. the Matrix gets a lot of credit for catching people off guard so they elevate it but Reloaded is like Mass Effect 2. a worthy successor that in some says comes up short but in many ways surpasses its predecessor and in the end is just more fun.

i always thought it was simple. the matrix was flawed to that people would accept it and Neo is the sum total of its flaws. Zion is like a recycle bin for people who still reject the Matrix despite its flaws and when the recycle bin gets too full right click delete. they then let Neo partially repopulate it so again the people that reject the Matrix can get out and when the time comes to delete it again Neo reappears. wash rinse repeat. its just a process to deal with errors in the system that there was no other way to get rid of.

the Architect threw around some big words but that's most of what he said.

That's pretty much what I got out of it. Originally the matrix was a utopia, but most people wouldn't accept it because that's just not how reality is.

So the Architect created a program to understand humans (the Oracle) that came up with a way to get most humans to accept it. The solution was to allow people to reject the Matrix and wake up if they chose to, even if they were only aware of the choice subconsciously.

The only problem was that, over time, a very small percentage of people WOULD reject the Matrix and leave it, and once enough of them got together they would congregate and try to destroy the Matrix. So, as a way to account for and control this, the Architect created the legend of "The one", who would escape, become a freedom fighter, and eventually be forced to abandon it and start all over again. That way they could control the anomaly and periodically wipe out Zion.

I always compare this series to mass effect as well. I always tell people that they are crazy if they dont think the hall fight transition to freeway scene is jaw dropping. Also monica bellucci fine ass:noah:

Co sign this powerful thread. That highway scene is prob a top 5 action scene ever. Combine that with neo fighting all those guys in that hall at the same time is near goat status.

It was a good movie. I find movies like this more entertaining than Transformers or Battleship.

more of a Full format IMO because there was no other way to get rid of the spyware/virus (humans that rejected the matrix and were free)...if it was just a recycle bin thing they wouldn't have to start from scratch each time...
