Great move by the Dodgers, especially since they didn't give up shyt for him. I bet he'll thrive in LA, especially with Kemp and Ethier hitting behind him.

Couple minor leaguers. For a guy who just a few years ago was one of the best hitters in baseball and is still under 30, this was a no-brainer, even with that salary.

Wherever whores go.....
Probably overgrown for SS
Always was a below average defender there
Powers gone
OBP skills are gone

Overall hitting has been on the decline

But hes only 28 and can play premium positions while batting is still league average

A triple in his first AB, deep fly in his second, and a rbi in his third :umad:

The Yay
thing is, hanley isnt some kind of a bum making 20 milly a season...he has a track record of extreme success (unlike, say, zito, who was decent at best at his prime)...its the kind of risk you prolly wanna take in most cases, especially if u got a little room for payroll

For the Marlins, Eovaldi was the 96th best prospect in baseball coming into the year, and projects as a middle of the rotation starter. For those who we're curious.

But obviously if Hanley plays like Hanley is capable of, it's a steal for L.A
