The overarching story is just basically Mando trying to reunite Baby Yoda with his folks. It's about their journey and adventures along the way. Maybe other things alter their course along the way as we see at the end of season 1 there is still a lot of unfinished business... but overall the story is pretty simplistic and that's fine for me..
They aren't insulting our intelligence. They are giving us lore and additional world building and some cool technical shyt. That's all it need to be for me

People expect every damn tv show to essentially be a 10 hour movie. I like that these are self contained for the most part. Im sure there will be a mini-movie in here towards the end but the entire show doesnt need to be that to be entertaining.

I'm not that invested in the star wars universe anyway not gonna waste my time with high budget fan fiction
First season was ok but I can already tell this is something your gonna be 4-5 seasons into and nothing really happened still

Every single show I watched in the 80's damn near followed this formula.
A-Team, Knight Rider, Airwolf, Streethawk. all of them shyts were weekly self contained episodes. I literally can't remember seeing a finale for any of those joints.
